LK'S WEBSITE

LINKS & RECS

Karly's Lil Fucked Up Place - I'm a massive fan of Wednesday's music (I saw them live last week in London and they were phenomenal, and Bleeds was my AOTY for 2025) and I'm even more endeared to their incredible front person Karly after finding her weird ass little website.

Derek Sivers | Tech Independence - absolutely GOATed page on reclaiming your digital independence from big tech. The reason this website exists in quite a literal sense. Highly recommend listening to Derek speak on this topic (and many others) on Tim Ferris' podcast. I just think he's a genuine free thinker and I love his ideas. I enjoy that I don't always agree with him but I think he's right on with a lot of this tech stuff. Its been a fun spring board to learning and playing around a lot.

Reid from Shameless Nerd - just a brilliant YouTube channel. Reid's videos completely encapsulate my feelings on tech and the modern online world. He never misses imo, and as a teacher and a parent he speaks with authority and passion in a way that really connects for me, and is firmly evidence based. Fave two videos are this one and this one

i deleted all my social media and made a website instead - I found this video after I made my site and it really hits on a fun, irreverent, weirdo side to all this stuff that I love. Luke is very funny and I wish I could code the kind of early 00s masterpiece he creates in this video. I just found this really charming and interesting.

Internet Archive - It is beautiful to me that this is real and free and exists. I love it. I'm currently on a Celebrity Big Brother Season 4 rewatch (Preston and Chantelle! Pete Burns! "Would you like me to be the cat?") thanks to it being hosted here. A true gold mine. But more seriously, we do need to preserve internet culture and our history and I'm so glad this exists in a world where information and truth are becoming murkier, more tightly controlled and more scarce. Open and accessible information is so, so vital.

I'll keep adding more as I find more cool stuff to share :)
